searching for a completable release in first, and to check differences between the various cracks

the first thing, this game seems to have an high kickstart 1.x legacy, because using an a500+ or an a1200 config will lead at least to a crash in later levels;

the NOMAD (680x0 fix) release will crash on second level, in the big tank battle on A500+ and crashing at the begin of the stage on A1200

also, both the Black Monks and the PNA cracks seems broken too, the first will stuck loading the last level (track 78 disk 1), and the second also does not recognizing anymore the first disk before loading the last stage too;
both the cracks tested on A500 default config

i need to final check the standard QTX release, possibly the only completable one
WinUAE tests

Not sure you will find one that is 100%. I checked DamienD's collection and he is using IPF's for this game. Meaning ADF's aren't 100% AFAIK

This is true for many titles.

So there is a collection of already checked 100% working ADFs somewhere? Thank you!

Gamebase ADFs are the most stable. But DamienDs collection uses a more accurate collection.

I remember playing the Quartex version with no issues, obviously the only drawback being the extra disk for booting.

i have completed the tests atm, the Quartex one is the only full working release
the [t+1 SCX] works on A500 and A500+;
the [t+4 BS1] works on A500 only;
the original untrained version works on A500 and A500+, i haven't tried but i think it's completable too

but ok 3 disks instead of 2, maybe that's the reason DamienD use the ipf version on his set

agree, expecially with the first era titles (1988-89-90)

big disappointment on average with the Paranoimia cracks, they mostly fail in the long run
wondering if their Ninja Warriors crack can be somewhat fixed, it's not bad afterall, but does not recognize the first disk when the last level chambers should be instead loaded

yes confirmed

Phil can you check what's wrong with the PNA release?
i can share an uss state, the game asks again for the first disk, to load the last level (as all the other versions behaviour), but the disk seems not recognized anymore;
and it cycles accessing track 78 iirc

maybe just end of disk/no more free space lol?

In all honesty, the Paranoimia version is likely knackered. They probably did no playtesting or figured no-one would bother to play until the end in the rush to release first.

I've always wanted to do a proper 2 disk version that works.

You mean speed over quality? I'm sure that never ever happened in the Amiga scene

i'll choose this

----
back to the game itself, absolutely a decent port, powerful main menu tunes
two players also
maybe the end of level bosses are not so big (apart the tank )

definitely not bad, not bad
