Super Famicom + Super Everdrive V2 DSP

Hi guys, I have a Super Famicom with an Everdrive v2 DSP, it also comes with a scart cable used with a Framemeister. It this has been used for a few years with no issues, there is no PSU shown here but there is one included just I forgot to put it into the photo. Selling this off due to a lack of time to play on it. Price includes shipping to anywhere provided it is available from Japan, due to Covid a lot of destinations are by Surface. I am looking for $85 + shipping, preferred payment is by PayPal. Thank you!

I thought I would just add that I am also willing to swap, I am in need of a simple ram card for the A1200, so if anyone who is interested has an Amiga 1200 ram expansion I would be happy to swap for one of those too.

I was just reading about this and apparently mod on Super Nintendo to allow Super Famicom games to work... this is very tempting to have original hardware but currently I've gone into emulation. Does it come with original box and manuals etc? I'll keep a watch on this thread!

Yes, it seems to run the US games as well as the Japanese ones, I am not sure about the UK games but I remember that the difference in hardware for the US and JP system was just he cartridge shape. Sadly I don`t have the box or manuals anymore.

No worries O.N.O means "or nearest offer", just means I am open to offers as well.

Replied with DM and shipping cost, $25 via Surface to Canada, sorry for a lack of choice but due to the Corona situation Japan Post is only shipping via Air to a few places. Will wait for your confirmation . If you are not interested due to the shipping time I understand, it is a bit frustrating the restrictions on shipping at the moment.

Totally understandable. I'm happy to pay that and provide a excited new home for the Super Famicom.

I'll send payment shortly.

Thanks again!

Super Famicom will play Japanese and US games without mod as they use the same CIC lockout chip, the only difference is the physical cartridge shape (Japanese being the same shape as PAL, US being rectangular). If you want to play PAL games thats where you need a mod to come in.

They used a different CIC for PAL games. There is a simple mod you can perform which disables the CIC and this will work for a few games but some others will throw up an error.

A better mod is the SuperCIC which is a replacement CIC chip by ikari01 which replaces the onboard CIC with a pic 16f630 programmed with new code.

It has 3 modes, forced 50hz, forced 60hz and automatic which will detect the region of the inserted game and set the system to the corresponding mode automatically.

You can do a DIY install like this

Or you can buy nicer looking pcb's such as

Great news @amifan! The package just showed up today. It's been a crazy day and I haven't had a chance to open the package yet. But I will tomorrow.

Thanks again for sending it my way! I look forward to playing it ASAP!

Fantastic, I am relieved it survived the long journey okay. It is a great little console, still probably the best one out there of all the consoles especially with the Everdrive.

Very cool system guys, enjoy. What games use the DSP? I don’t know mush about this SNES but it sounds neat.
