GVP A2000 + SCSI2SD in A3000

I've recently put a GVP A2000-HC+8 Series I, with 4.15ROM+ 8meg RAM in my A3000 with a3640 + 16meg SC ZIP, 3.1.4 kickstart.

I'm getting very slow speeds when testing the SCSI2SDv6 with both sysinfo and RSCP; around 300kb/s.

I've tried the suggested mask of 0xFFFFFFFE (from big book of amiga website), as well as 0x07FFFFFF but it made no difference.

Using the same SCSI2SD settings as in this thread: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=86613, and have also tested the device on my other machine (which gets me around 4mb/s).

Is there something else that I should be looking at here? I've read some mention of the onboard terminators but nothing much on what others have done here.

Is there a reason you're using the SCSI2SD on the Zorro card instead of the native A3000 SCSI?

You should compare the speed of the card on both buses. That will help determine whether the issue is the SCSI2SD config or the bus itself.

My a3000 does not like the a3640 installed. I get a lot of checksum issues with it in. Works fine without it.
I've done the buster 11 and AMD scsi chip upgrades too, which didn't help so I'm going down the zorro card route, especially since accelerator card prices are through the roof, when they're even available.

You could try a different DMAC-02 chip to fix the onboard SCSI. Easier said than done these days with everyone doing A3000++ builds
