What's the difference between Draft and IPF?
Hello, it's not clear to me why the need for yet another disk format.

Yay, IPF is a fully analysed and scripted format where every single bit is there for a reason. We can verify integrity and authenticy.
DRAFT and STREAM (being used temporarily until DRAFT is ready for consumption) files just containt what was read from the disk surface. This means there can be errors present we can not detect before we analyse the data. There is a huge difference in file size. DRAFT can be e.g. 40 MB big, while the corresponding IPF is only 1 MB... |
