Looking for graphics artists and musicians for a bunch of cracktros-like productions

Hi,

I hope I'm posting this in the good thread. Sorry for the inconvience if I choosed poorly.

I used to code cracktros on Amiga (a list with links to Flashtro remakes and YouTube videos here).

In 2017, I started publishing a serie of articles in the vintage section of the french magazine Programmez! about Amiga hardware coding. For example a serie about the coding of one of my cracktros here (two parts) or about how to code a sine scroll here (five parts).

Since I discovered again how fun it is to code the hardware of the Amiga in assembly language, I coded several FX such as particles, rotozoom, and things like that, for further articles. Who knows? Some youngsters may read this, get interested, and start coding / drawing / composing demos on their own, whatever the computer is.

I would like to make something of this, that is releasing cracktros-like productions. To make it fun, the main theme would be: a tribute to the scene. So each cracktro-like production would be a little tribute: one as a tribute to coders, one as a tribute to graphic artists, and so on.

As you guess, all of this requires code, bitmaps (logos and pictures), and tunes. As an old but still moving coder, I shall write (hopefully good) code. Regarding the data, believe me, you don't want me to draw bitmaps or compose tunes

Thanks to Alien and Notorious who did a wonderful job, a first intro is already finished for Scoopex. Should be released... soon.

So if you are a good graphic artist or a music composer, interested in drawing one logo or composing one MOD for a cracktro-like production, let me know. Also, if you know some old dude who used to be a good graphic artist or music composer, let him know? If anybody knows how to get in touch with Watchman, Facet, Cougar, NHP,...

You can get in touch with me by writing to: stashofcode AT gmail.com.

Yragael.

Cool.

Why don't you make a game instead of a demo?

Hi Yragael. First time I saw your name was on the intro you did for Interpol for Flashback. I also like your intro on the Paradox Action Replay IV disk. I think I you also released a .txt file about AGA copperlist values??

What hardware did you own and what software did you use for developing?
Also do you think it would have been possible to code your intros using OS functions instead of banging the copper directly?

Greetings from New Zealand.

Indeed, and since the upcoming Scoopex is for AGA since it required a bunch of bitplanes, I will tell more about this AGA registers story in an upcoming article.

For the intros, the code was written in assembly language on Amiga 500. I shut down the system and code the hardware registers directly. Same thing for the intros I'm coding at this moment, but I use WinUAE instead of a real Amiga 500 / 1200. I write the code in Notepad++. All of this is explained in those articles in english :

I do not have much time for coding. But who knows? The source code may help coders who want to code games.
