At least ten. But fifteen would be better. Or twenty. Maybe thirty, what do you say? Fifty, OK. If you are Amiga virgin, play as much as possible (try all games that were mentioned before) and find your favourite ones.

About the members - dupplicate accounts are not allowed now (I have other two but shhhhhhhhhhh ) so dont care and post. And visit off topic area, its nice warmy place and all boys there are waiting for fresh flesh. Kiss kiss

A more interesting approach than polls. I'm a bit skeptical about the scoring system, the game you think is the best of all time getting only 20% more points than tenth best. But I think this will yield some interesting lists with maybe a few games that I haven't tried

Much better than a poll with preselected 'famous names'!

Of course it is, its MY thread BTW polls are great

About scoring system, yes, your favourite game gets only 20% more points than your tenth game but it gets 50% more points than your fiftieth game.
The basic idea was to finally make TOP most popular Amiga games of all times among most of the Amigans (amigagames.com is down, lemon has its own voting) and more games you vote for more objective the TOP will be. In my opinion its not so big difference between first and tenth (or tweniteth)game, in my TOP 20 every game could be the first.

What I dont like on the rest of "the best amiga game of all time" is the fact you can vote only for five or ten games. Its almost like Sophie's choice
So here you got a chance to vote for fifty or, if you wanna vote for less, at least fifteen (or ten, I am not sure now ).

Would be better if this thread was made sticky.

Thanks, I think its very good idea and final results would be very interesting. Everytime this thread is refreshed some people post here, if it was made sticky (am I repeating myself? ) more fav games would be here I am sure.

Yes, there are more than 6000 on HOL - but I doubt I even know more than 1000...

Btw., the last four I indeed played a couple of hours back in the day (on some rainy Sunday afternoon)!

Actually, how many 'single' amiga games are there (excluding therefore translations and revisions)?

I can't seem to find a way to see that with HOL (or Lemon). Maybe with the TOSEC database?
