IK + / Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker

Hi

I've tried various versions of IK+ that have been lying around here and there on various websites, and they all seem to have the same problem - no sound effects.

Sometimes it really does seem like the Gods are conspiring against you.. I mean, if there's one Amiga game that you want the sound effects for, seriously, just one - it's IK+!!! They're legendary !!!

No surprises for guessing what I'm going to ask next, does anyone know where I can find a version with the sound fx intact, or perhaps I'm doing something wrong with the WINUAE sound emulation? (doubtful as my sound works perfectly for all other games) By all means email me on tasmanian.tiger@rocketmail.com if you can , I'd be very grateful.

Whilst I'm at it, I'm also having troubles with another MacLean's classic, 'Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker'... I've read a thread knocking around talking about known problems with the emulation for this game, but it was quite old and I was wondering if there's a fully working version available anywhere these days?

But F4 doesn't work... im wondering if maybe there is somethig wrong with my emulation for this game, but that seems unlikely as dozens of other games i have work fine with all sound fx and music

I can hear a slight noise where there should be the kicking and punching fx, but its like a short sharp and fairly quiet & muffled 'phu'....

CyberDruid, if you could please email me your ROM id be very grateful, if its still not woking then at least I'll know its an emulation rather than a ROM issue, and i can focus my energies on that.

Use A500 most compatible mode (cycle-exact mode)

Just checked it again and you need to enable 'cycle exact' on the CPU panel. Then the sound effects should play correctly

It's running fine now great sound fx, great game.

My only remaining problem is that I keep geetimg my ass kicked by the CPU, ...just like the old days!
