Amiga - DOS versions - give me some examples
I want to make a video comparing DOS versions of old games to Amiga versions and I need a list of games where the Amiga versions are far superior to DOS version. This shouldn't be too hard as almost all old games are better on the Amiga but I need a definite list where the differences are huge.
So please, if you have some very good examples, please post them Now, this video won't be as technical as that awesome Amiga/Atari video as I don't know how to check for resolutions and colors and all that.. it'll simply be gameplay clips from the same areas in the DOS and Amiga versions of the games. |

This is pretty easy, select DOS games from 1986-1990, i.e. try Defender of the crown or Falcon.

I like the sound of this idea!
Many Americans were PC gaming DOS freaks, so such a vid comparison would be great on YouTube. The comments would be interesting. A good place to get comparisons would be searching Home of the Underdogs for Amiga games... http://www.the-underdogs.info/ |

Cool, downloaded StuntCar Racer. Also downloaded It Came from the Desert which is FAR superior on the Amiga.
Oh and Rick Dangerous as well. EDIT - I need more suggestions though! I want examples where the Amiga version is not only better but a lot better |

It's hard though! I was all Amiga back then, so we need someone who has PC gaming experience around the 1989 period.
Not a huge difference, but I bet the PC version was 16 colours: http://www.the-underdogs.info/game.php?id=405 |

There are a lot of 8-Bit conversions for PC/Amiga. The miggy versions are mostly average, some good. But a lot of 8-bit PC ports are CGA/EGA crap with PC-speaker sound.

I think there was a dodgy screenshot of the PC version of Bad Dudes vs. Dragonninja in a thread recently...

I will not include any of those - these are horrible ports and could have been done so much better! Unlike a lot of old PC games which could not have been done better because of the fact that EGA cards were standard back then and soundcards were a luxery.
