Blitz Basic 2
Back in the 90's I made some "epic" games on my Amiga 500 with BB2 and would like to get back into it for a bit of nostalgia.
I'm having a bit of a problem though. I've managed to install BB2.1 from the CD but trying to run some of the examples just makes it stop the execution. The scripts that don't work are in the examples/blitzmode folder. My setup: winuae x64 workbench 1.3x AmigaForever: amiga-os-310-a500.rom 8mb chip ram 1mb slow ram Any suggestions would be great |

Depending on which version of TED you have, you may have to set the directory of where the files for the programs are stored. It's under the Compiling tab (I think) at the bottom - just locate the directory where you are running the demo from and set the dir.
Also, the BB2 CD has a broken installer so you might try again with this one of Aminet: https://aminet.net/search?query=blitz+basic+cd Hope this helps and welcome back tot he BB2 fold! BB2 is an excellent language but because it is used the Amiga's features well, it can feel pretty low level and confusing at times! Dedicate BB2 forum is always willing to give answers. |

If you're going for the full CD install, you're better off going for the one at http://ubb.plus/
This is an updated version of the CD with a fixed installer, all the more recent updates applied and updated documentation. |

any specific reason why you use Workbench 1.3 with a Kickstart 3.1? Sure it works but you miss a lot of the improvements made after 1.3. And yes, I guess the new installer does not work on WB 1.3. So just use WB 3.1 and you should be fine. |

Ooh, I missed that detail... Yeah, you'll want Workbench 3.1 - I would imagine you'll run into some issues using it on Workbench 1.3 even if you did manage to get it installed.
