Postscript passthrough + FinalWriter 97 + PDFCreator = Fail

I was playing around with printing in Winuae 2.0.1 and decided to try a simple test using my PDF creation software. It seems that when I print to a Postscript "printer" through Finalwriter, the PDF output at the end of the chain seems consist solely of a blank page. Given that when I print to a PS file on the Amiga side and then open that file in PDFCreator on the PC side, the resulting PDF is perfect (even the fonts are perfectly subsetted and embedded), the problem clearly isn't the PS that FinalWriter generates, but rather some odd interaction between the way FW talks to the "parallel port" and the way PDFCreator pulls in PS data. Note that this isn't a problem with the way the passthrough works in general, because PDFCreator generates proper output (both text and graphics) from programs that use the system's internal PS library.

Attach/email one postscript file from FW and I'll do some tests. (possibly problem with start or end of stream detection)

Here goes. This is a PostScript file as output by FinalWriter's "Print to File" option that distills perfectly. Presumably identical output fails miserably when printed directly to the distiller (even if I flush the job manually)

PS file looks perfectly normal (contains expected start and end markers)
Perhaps "printing mode" needs to be text instead of raw when printing postscript. Try http://www.winuae.net/files/b/winuae.zip

I don't know if postscript without postscript emulation has never been tested..
