New to forum - great to see there's an Amiga community
Hi everyone. Just started playing around with Amiga again after an 18 year break . Got a real A500 but mostly using emulator (AmigaForever).
So far I've been going through my old assembler code and re-learning hardware programming. As my first project I'm working on a game, replicating a bumper cars toy that my son got for Christmas (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01...qid=1452452539). So far I've got two cars (sprites) that you can move/turn in four directions using keyboard, with collision detection. Been really fun but man, it is hard to write clean code in assembler... |

Hi Kocker,
I decided to register myself after a break with the Amiga scene. In the middle of an A600 refurbish here, looking forward to using it for game development and graphics again. AmiBlitz 3 looks interesting for my part. Good luck with asm and collision detection :-) |

I told my wife I joined the Amiga forum and she teased me and said "so, it will be you and another person?". Glad to see that's not quite the case!

Welcome @Knocker you'll be surprised when you see all the stuff you can add to an Amiga these days (CF cards replace hard drives, GoTek floppy emulators that read files from USB, USB ports, HDMI out, FPGA accelerators, Wifi etc..
But I guess pure asm on a Vanilla A500 is where the charm is. |
