Hi Abu,

Sorry I'm having trouble getting it to run. Im getting 'Program Failed (error #80000004) errors.

Ive tried launching from workbench (3.2.1) and via early start-up menu but still hitting same issue.

My system is A1200 with OS 3.2.1 (on 3.2 ROMS) with a TF1260 and CF HD (booting from TF1260 ehide).

Any ideas?

I may have uploaded a duff copy or messed it up when packing.

Further testing! Again, first numbers are the half-screen size, second set full-screen.
A1200, Blizzard1230/IV w/50Mhz 68030, 64Mb 60ns Fast RAM, AmigaOS3.2.

WHDLoad v1.1...
First corridor - 4 fps 2 fps
Ammo room - 6 fps 3 fps

WIP as of 8th Dec '22...
First corridor - 7 fps 4 fps
Ammo room - 9 fps 5 fps

Certainly nippier than the WHDload version, particularly since I'm seeing the WIP's full-screen fps matching the older version's "thumbnail" size!

Interestingly, the 3.2 machine shows the mouse on the AB3DII screen, whilst the 3.9BB4 one doesn't.

Check The Zone - I've been testing the version in there titled ABD3D2_Blizz1260.lha

Yep, it's actually playable in the smaller screen mode even with the 1x1 pixel mode - pretty amazing!

I'm trying to get ModePro to grab it, and redirect it to a P96 screen... but I'm just getting a black screen.

I've stopped work on the current PR as I think it's better to get a review on it. The executable is 70K smaller just from moving as hoc zero initialised globals to BSS.

That's not going to work. The game assumes a planar bitmap layout in chip memory that it c2ps on. We need proper RTG support for what you are trying to do.

yeah. its not that simple. the screen is an intuition screen but the c2p copies data directly into chip ram (or something). promoting to another AGA screen mode may be possible like dblPAL or euro36/72 but not RTG.

Tried the version from post 921, and get similar results, but this is after a black screen appears for about 10 seconds or so.

The version from The Zone amipal links to works OK - although I am aware that that isnt your version.

Im not sure why my system doesn't like yours - its very odd

Also, how do I change pixel mode (if it can be changed?).

I would like to run some FPS tests with my TF1260 at various speeds (if I can keep it stable).

I can also test my original disks install, the WHDLoad version and the versions everyone is working on if people feel the need?
