No, he went on record saying that as he invented it, he gets to decide how it's pronounced - and it's "Jiff" after which the rest of the internet told him he's wrong. Which he is.

Myself and everyone I have known calls it "SIGH"gnosis and the most likely reason being the voice sample (Ray Norrish?) on the Blood Money DMA intro.

Why do you people keep writing "sigh", when it's actually "psy" as in "psychology"?
Do you really pronounce it with a sigh at the beginning? Because that'd be both sad and hilarious

Pretty sure its not Ray's voice unless he was putting it on, he doesn't sound like that, could ask him

Exactly what I am saying. Do you really all SIGH at the beginning?
SIGH does not sound like PSY at all. You are all writing SIGH, not PSY.

Are you all lamenting?

The problem your not grasping. Not all of us are going to be native English speakers and understand psy. As in silent p and stuff. Jeez, not even native speakers know how to talk most of the time.

As FOL stated, it's how we are explaining how to pronounce it phonetically, not the spelling of it. SIGnosis or SIGHgnosis!

You can say that again.

Serisously. For one, I never said you were smoking anything and two, you are obviously trying to start.

So I'm out.

Yeah but this is a paid commentator... how many times have you watched paid commentators mis-pronounce things ;-)

I've been to award shows and been on stands where they pronounced Haupauge "How-parge" which everyone knows is (or rather was) "Hop-pog".

More recently lots of big named people still pronouncing Xiaomi a multitude of ways and not "Show-Me"
