winuae frontend recomendations welcomed
hi,
need a good frontend for winuae, vista compatible and hopefully one that can run a batch file linked to the winuae exe. ive tried ---- lemonade (wont run the batch file) amigame (too obtuse and not accept a batch file) winuae launcher (too old very very basic) anyone tried any spiffing ones ? one able to accept a batch file (linked to winuae) instead of a winuae exe wud be terrific, if such a beast exists heres hoping, cheers |

fantastic, im so glad someone brought up gamebase cos ive just been tinkering with it and salivating at its gemus scripts feature but can not for the life of me figure out how to use that feature, so i guess you now whats coming next---
can some kind soul explain to a gamebase noob how to add winuae's -norawinput command line into a gamebase gemu script, i wud be over the moon. ive read the gamebase docs and i fear it will take me a month of sundays to figure that lot out (the scripts that is, gamebase as a whole looks marvelous) hi to cyberdruid, im on 32 bit vista |

Then you could also have a look at this : http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=36292
Have a look at the file 'Emulators.ini' in the Gamebase Amiga path. Maybe adding the command line switch there is enough |

ive tried a few times, any idea what to type and where, beg of ini ? my last attempt this, 3 days mucking about, bloody crappy vista, nowt bloody runs, all my old games and progs from just a couple of years ago, nowt runs. screw you microsoft pushing this garbage on us, i want to buy a decent xp machine, but can not, and i wud have a nightmare getting xp on my vista pc, what with drivers for all the non standard hp bits and bobs. ill have to give up on my amiga past, no way im altering all my old configs and i just feel it in my water that if i just import all my old configs into latest winuae ill have tons of issues, maybe not, but i dont wanna be on a knifes edge expecting problems that may or may not come, call me paranoid maybe. looks like ill be stuck with good old xp on my tiny netbook, whilst my hp pile of vista manure gathers dust. |
