Hi,
before shouting "wrong forum", please note that I do not want this game for myself. The reason is, Galahad is in England, and Codetapper is in New Zealand, and if there's anybody who has an ORIGINAL of this game outside Germany it would be much better. I'm not sure, but I hope I can persuade the German guy who has the original to send over his original to me, so that I can handle the "overseas" stuff. I would even agree to take the postage for Germany-><some country>. But I'd prefer if anyone of you Brits got this original handy and if he was willing to send it over, so that one of the HD fixers can create a WHD version. ![]() Note: Nothing will harm your original, but it must be on location in this special case! Yes. This information is absolutely verified now. The game uses a RNC copylock system for protection with self-modifying code which is very difficult to crack! So does anyone have this one as an original? Thanks for reading. ![]() Last edited by andreas; 07 April 2002 at 03:48. |

Cool.
The short version of my post above is that this game is NOT found among the WHDLoad installers. After telling it to some HD fixers, they were pretty surprised! ![]() |

I also have a US original, so that's two. (I know, I'm in the states, but just in case - ya never know!)

I have the original along with Driller on the same disk from the "virtual thingies" compilation... but I'm living in the wrong country too...

Well, I just asked myself if that country thing really matters. Apparently it does, because Galahad and Codetapper are specialists on things like self-modifying copylock code.
If there happens to be another HD fixer living in the vicinity of my home country who's also able to crack this special stuff, it's all right. You may ask the others from the WHD team living in Germany or Czech republic if they can cope with that stuff. I doubt it. |

Hi guys
Can those of you with the same game but possibly different versions upload your game disks aswell please? Occassionally the different versions have the data file or the loader deprotected which was the case with Treasure Island Dizzy. I was able to use a different version to rip out the decrypt code. Thanks in advance. |

@Codetapper
Do watch out for different version numbers! There are some with version 1.0, and some with version 1.1! Mixing them is of course possible, but I don't think that it would be so very advantageous... ![]() |

US Version
The likelihood is the US Version doesn't use RNC Copylock, because the Americans despised anything they couldn't back up.
