Brilliant Ironclaw!

I couldn't work out why you had given me a link in another thread for my request for magazine coverdisks to your site as I thought it was purely Amiga recorded games! Just come across this thread and put two and two together....

Bookmarked and downloading!

Wow! You've got four cracked versions of my PD game! Just amazes me why they have cracktros on them when the disk wasn't protected or encrypted in any way... and it was free!

Ironclaw - is it possible to grab all the coverdisks in one batch as opposed to downloading each individual file?

I'm having to copy the link and insert the password everytime as I can't log into the ftp server.

Not asking much am I.....

Nope, so such way possible , could make but nope ...

The downloading works better in Firefox, you can download faster there.. no need to copy/paste the text.. just click and download...

Yeah, and if you're IPv6 enabled you can also get stuff at http://amiga.ipv6.tweak-it.net (IP 2001:888:1702:0:a500:1200:cd32:4000 ) via HTTP or DAV (e.g. WebFolders in Windows XP).

This way you can pick individual files through a browser, or get multiple using a DAV-client.

Edit: Stuff meaning the Tosec collection

Forgot about this thread. The rules has changed and only those that contribute with movies gets the password.

A longlpay or a full speedrun movie will be enough, but the more, the merrier .

It doesn't work, I have tried via Hipoonios site, eg. http://hipooniosamigasite.ath.cx/hip...content/?id=46 and through R.A.G. site eg. http://recordedamigagames.ath.cx/mod...ontent/?id=107
neither works. I get either a message that there are already 4 people logged on, or authentication failed, or that the file is not a directory (!), or just nothing at all, a la PlanetEmu.

Is it really necessary to have this system? why not just offer the files for normal download like just about any other website would do? Or is there FTP access to these?

There are a couple of rare games there which seem to be only there and on PlanetEmu, since none of these sites work it is highly annoying. I have tried with AWeb, Internet Exploiter, Mozilla. I doubt it is any problem at my end as everything still works fine, just not hipoonios/RAG/PlanetEmu.

"But please don't give away the password to friends or post it in various forums on the net."

In light of that statement on the Hipoonios website, maybe you should remove the password from your post. That said, I get the same kinds of errors trying it (not that I really needed anything, I was just testing if a download would start).

Edit: Tried again a little later and it works for me now. So chances are it was really just full (if there's a 4 user limit that's not so unlikely).

What's wrong with PlanetEmu? It seems to work fine for me. And what's on PlanetEmu with its ancient TOSEC sets that's not available elsewhere? If you can tell me and I have it, I'll gladly make it publicly available (assuming it's not troublesome material), if it's not excessive amounts of data.
