Acard vs Buddha
I have 2 CF cards that for the moment run on the internal IDE controller in my A4000T.
I want to improve boot speed so I want to stop using the internal IDE controller and have therefore gotten a NoIDE pcb. Now I of course still need to use my harddrives, so I wonder, what would be the best choice here... 1. to get a Buddha controller for the CF cards (with the possibility of adding USB to the miggy too) 2. get 2 Acard IDE - UW SCSI cards to attach my CF cards to my CSPPC SCSI string I hope you can help me out here ![]() |

ACard is more expensive, but ultimately better.
Of course if your IDE drives are old 1GB clunkers, then you probably won't see much of a speed increase, but the CPU usage will go down nevertheless. |

Buddha won't really give you anything over the standard IDE (other than the clockport). Since you mentioned USB I'd suggest waiting for the Deneb, then just use a USB card reader.

@Kristian95
Acard SCSI all the way, with SCSI it removes all that precious CPU usage and free's up the Amiga so much!.. so most certainly.... Acard and CF, a match made in Amiga Heaven |

![]() Speaking of the cable, I noticed that the Acard seems to have a female SCSI plug whereas my SCSI CD-ROM and PPC SCSI controller have male plugs... will that make getting a proper SCSI cable for it difficult ?? |

The AEC-7720UW is about £35, the buddha cheaper? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=3420726021 |
