A good resolution on WinUAE is 640x400 32Bit!

This fixed it for UAE, but unfortunately my Amiga GPU only supports 8, 16, and 32 bit modes. Why does the fullscreen mode require such high color depth, surely the DOS version only uses 256 colors?

For non working 24bits uncomment these lines


;newpubscreen p2 mode 1342182146
;dprun p2 pre2_32bit --fullscreen


and comment the others in Prehistorik 2 launch script.

It's probably just easier than having to deal with mapping assets onto a fixed palette.

This worked, although the 320x200x32 ID on my system is 1359221507, and the colors are very green.

Try enabling all color modes in ShowModes file or PVS instead of Essential.

Try also setenv SDL_HWSURFACE 1

ShowModes option just shows/hides 15bit modes with Radeon.
No visible difference with SDL_HWSURFACE envar. However 16bit mode displays correct colors and screen fade effects are much faster.
