Amiga Vs ST
Anyone got a list of games that show off the power of the Amiga compared to the ST? I already know of Shadow Of the Beast. Any suggestions?

I guess you could browse through HOL for games that have an Atari ST/E conversion and then pick your favourites to compare with (as there are loads)
... Conversion hardware is : Atari ST/E |

Of course not - but it's an extreme example (besides Beast) of how crappy the Atari ST-versions are.

it's kind of funny to read the comments and see the clowns still insisting amiga did not have technical superiority just because it had a lower clocked CPU.

Thanks guys. It was actually for http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=XASnGpemk_M that cyberdruid point out. This guy on there called r8qt7 has been insisting that the ST is better etc and that no games look better on the Amiga. I mentioned Shadow of the beast and he blames the programmers haha. Kinda given up with him now haha. Thanx anyway guys.

Yeh John that and I think Falcon run slightly faster on the ST. I pointed him to the wikipedia artcle on Amiga Games but he seemed to be avoiding reading it. It explains why some early games were actually faster on the ST.

No doubt there are many reasonable reasons why the ST versions of games very often suffer in comparison with the Amiga...
...I've never been convinced that hardware is top of the list. ..? Obviously the A500 was a MUCH better computer but I'd say it was well within the ST's capabilities to support 'equally good' versions of most (not all) of these games. |

Which makes the game nearly unplayable But yeah, it's faster than the ST version
@Charlie Well the Copper and Blitter were the reason why games were 'better' on the Amiga (along with the increased number of colours). Guess there are some Chess games that benefit from the faster CPU on the ST... |
