Have a clean/mint A600, does it make sense to Vampire2 it?

Is there currently anything better to do to an A600 or the V2 still reigns? I have access to one as well.

Depending on your defenition of "better"... The V2-600 certainly still is the fastest accelerator and to my knowledge only RTG solution for the A600. It can be removed and won't harm your A600. I would make sure, though, that you get one of the more recent revisions as the early revisions are nowhere as stable as the latest.

How do you determine the revision, I take it V2 is not the revision, but the version. Thanks for this advice.

"V2" means "Vampire 2" (there was a Vampire 1 but that was more of a proof of concept). I think there were three V2 revisions in total, the most recent should be rev2.1 IIRC (I had one but lent it and the A600 to someone who was supposed to do AROS development on it).

I’ve got a couple of Revision 2.2 boards. Worth it if you have a decent Monitor setup to use HDMI for RTG modes.

Just remember that Cofiin OS is free to download off the internet if you want a quick get up and go solution. Don’t pay for it in Flea-bay

What you also must make sure of or do is to flash the core software to the latest version.
