Workbench 1.2 disks

How many disks came with workbench 1.3? I have the main disk and extras disk but I was wondering if there is anymore? I just seem to remember a demo disk. If there are more disks anyone know where I could get them? Appreciate anyones help Sorry about the title I did mean the 1.3 version not the 1.2.

Hi Si-Pie,

There was a OS 1.3 Demo disk released by Commodore for the Amiga 500, and a Workbench 1.3 Demo disk for 1MB Amigas as well as a Workbench 1.2 Demo disk for the Amiga 1000.

Also, there was an OS 1.2/1.3 Music Demo disk.

I have .ADF images of all these disks.

As they're only Demo disks, I might be permitted to upload them to the Zone for you . Can anyone confirm this, please?

is this demo disk containing an animation, one where you see an older man sitting behind a desk typing while paper comes out of the printer, all this to explain multitasking? (all I can remember)

I'd love to see that back, just for nostalgia reasons, as I lost that disk 20 years ago and never found it back despite having huge collections of Amiga disks...

Hi dirkies,

No, none of those disks I mentioned above is the one you remember. However, I think I know the one you mean, and I'll see if I can find it...

The one I'm thinking of is a Commodore OS1.2/1.3 Multitasking Demo from 1985.

Edit: I've found it! I'll check it out tomorrow and report back.

Hi All,

Here are the details of the demo disks I have:

Appetizer_demo.adf - Appetizer Demodiskette (German).
Bootable software demonstration/slideshow disk.

A500-Demo.adf - A500 OS1.3 Demo from CBM Netherlands (Dutch).
Bootable Amiga 500 presentation disk. (Start with spacebar when prompted.)

Workbench-Demo.adf - Amiga Workbench OS1.3/1MB Demo from 8.12.1987 (German).
Bootable Workbench presentation disk.

Multitasking-Demo.adf - CBM OS1.2/1.3 Multitasking Demo from 1985 (German).
Bootable multitasking presentation disk. (Press Return, F1, F2 or F3 when prompted.)

@dirkies,
The Multitasking Demo disk starts off with an older man sitting behind a desk hanging on the telephone. Later, you see "Fred the Baker" playing with his yo-yo while he waits for his PC to finish one task before starting the next, and "Rose Thornbush" with her multitasking Amiga running one task in the background while she's getting on with the next...
Is that the one you remember?

I'm sorry that they are not English language versions, but they still illustrate the concepts.
