Cardinal Of The Kremlin (WHDLoad)
Hi all. Trying to get my WHDLoad sets in order. Have 4553 of 4554.
Missing just 1 file. Ouch. Its "CardinalOfTheKremlin_v1.0.lha" I've downloaded many versions but none will verify and i'm wondering if the dat is wrong. Found versions here... https://gamesnostalgia.com/whdownload/c http://amigas.ru/amiftp/index.php?di...inal_installs/ On Grandis FTP in Retroplays folder (v1.01 is there) On the google drive in Retroplays folder (v1.01 is there) http://whdload.de/games/TheCardinalOfTheKremlin.html (has v1.01 and the original release from 2018 which also doesn't verify) and here... https://www.whdownload.com/games.php...c&sort=0&dir=0 Has anyone got a verifiable version that matches the v2021-12-27 dat file? Thanks. |

A few months ago I ran the entire Retroplay's WHDLoad collection through VirusZ and it flagged Cardinal Of The Kremlin for the containing the 'Saddam I' virus, which he then swiftly removed. Presumably the DATs are mismatching because either the removal of it, or from the virus was doing something wonky if the game was run
Other two games that I flagged that then got updated were: ChaseHQ 2 - Lamer Ext 4 Bootblock virus (though seems like the game was actually shipped with it!) StarRay - SCA bootblock virus |

Thanks for the info. Nice to know there was an explanation. I thought i was going mad, i must have found (even since requesting it here) about 10 places to download this file, and not a single one would verify. But we're all good now as the dat has since been updated.

Dat file entries and files are always in sync with each other if you grab them from Turran FTP or my WHDLoad stash.

@mcbpete: on the Amiga File Server under my nickname you will find the original versions of Chase HQ II and StarRay Virus-Free! Both as whdload-installed!
