Not all PCMCIA Network Cards work on the A1200, only 16Bit Cards work Just download the CNET.DEVICE from Aminet, there´s a list with tested devices in the archiv

Smile Hi Retroman

Hi Retroman, can you please remind me how to install the cnetdevice driver for a pcmcia ethernet card on the A1200?
I have done this before and got it working no probs i could even get the card info in the cnetdevice driver.I have a 16bit pcmcia card which i bought from maplins and when using the card info in the cnetdevice driver i could see all what my card was etc....but since rebuilding and reinstalling os3.9 i can't seem to get it working again? where exactly do i put the cnet driver and when i come to using it do i have to pull the card out then back in because i don't remember having to do this before?
The card i have is SITECOM connectivity fast ethernet pc card.

The file CNET.DEVICE goes into the DEVS: folder You have to pull out and insert the card again because of a reset bug in PCMCIA Slot of the A1200, that´s pretty normal, go and get CARDRESET from Aminet and put it into the startup-sequence, should do fine

Thumbs up Hi Retro :)

Hi Retro

Cheers for the reminder i have now put the cnet device driver in devs but there is one more thing
When i open devs: and open the cnetdevice drawer i have all the stuff that comes with the driver like card_info etc...well when i click on the card_info it says unable to open your tool 'card_info'.
retry select a diferent tool... cancel
I don't know what i can open this card_info with and when i first installed cnetdevice driver some time back i remember putting it in devs: then i clicked on the card_info and it showed me every thing i needed to know about my pcmcia ethernet card which was very good.Do you know how i can open this card_info again and which tool do i need?
