Anyone got an Apollo 4060?

I just won a 4040 on eBay, for a quite acceptable price.
Now, I also have in my possesion a nice 060 looking for a card to make sweet sweet computer love to, as a result of a situation involving a Cyberstorm PPC with 040, and an utterly inept postal service who couldn't find my house.

So, assuming that royal mail succeed in actually delivering the 4040 to me, I'm thinking there is some possibility of upgrading it to an 060.
What I know is that both cards were identical save for a voltage regulator module, and a different ROM, so if I can obtain both of these, I'm good to go.
But, I haven't even seen a photo of the 060 version, so I'm wondering if anyone has one and would be willing to pull it from their machine, and take some good clear photos of the VRM and header for it, so that I can see if it appears to be the same as this one for the Apollo 1260 and also optionally dump and burn me the ROM (a big ask, I know).
Or alternatively, if anyone knows where I might be able to obtain a suitable ROM and VRM, that would also be cool, I know the seller of the one linked (Per-gunnar Johansson) has all the bits to upgrade the 1240, but he doesn't do 4040s due to not having any means of testing them, or indeed knowledge of the card.

Where did you get yours from? What price? Is it a full 060?

To upgrade my 1240 I needed a voltage regulator, new rom chip and of course an 060.

Bought from Per-gunnar. Really need a full 060 chip for a reasonable price.

Got the 060 from a guy in France over eBay, cost around £50 (Peanuts when you consider the cost of any A4000 accelerator with an 060 in it vs. the 040 ones (Cyberstorms, which it was intended for, are fairly trivial to upgrade, at least the MK II/III ones) less so when you're dealing with A1200 ones.

Some of the EC chips were IIRC full 060s, just stamped EC, but you'd have to ask someone. Probably your best bet is to ask around and see if anyone wants to upgrade to one of the more overclockable chips with the E41J mask that amiga kit are selling for £50, and work out some kind of deal for their old one, or possibly contact amikit themselves and see if they'd be willing to do some kind of part-exchange for your 040 once removed (though probably unlikely with the pins coated in Solder), or if it's a 40MHz one, see if anyone here would be willing to buy it.

probably £10-20, but they're common enough that it's more a case of what someone is willing to pay at the time.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SHIVA-LANROVER...QQcmdZViewItem uses a 68060 as its main CPU, but I've no idea if it's an EC or full version, or whether it's even in a PGA package, though I suspect if you were to buy it you'd find it was a surface mount EC version.

You would of thought that if you are gonna sell an item you would alteast clean it up a bit first!!!!

sheeesh, as smiley says that second chip looks a bit dodgy!!

I would hate to of seen how that lil-chip musta been treated!!!

Update: after doing a bit of digging, I found a 4060 ROM image in some shady corner of the net, so I'm now halfway there... I can see in pictures where the regulator module should go, and the pinout appears to be the same, but it will require closer examination of the 4040 (Which I don't have yet) and my 1240 (which I can't get at until Christmas anyway) to be at least moderately sure.
Logically, they should be the same, it would be stupid to make 2 different variants, but the real world frequently tests my faith in logic.

I guess this is the excuse I was waiting for to buy an EEPROM burner, anyone know of a decent USB one that would work with a Mac, or am I going to have to do something unpleasant involving DOS (Or an Amiga burner)?

Further news (does anyone care?)

Got the card yesterday (parcelforce delivered it to a neighbour a week and a bit before, but she seemed to be out whenever I was in), it works fine as an 040, but I can't reassemble the case without removing a bit from the corner of the 5.25" drive cage, something I should perhaps have considered more carefully when choosing a PC case to modify.
Anyway, the manual featured a helpful picture of the regulator, which is a match for the one linked above, so one has been ordered, next steps are to fit a pin header to the card, and a socket for the oscillator, and get the ROM burned.
