Commodore 1084/1084S RGB connector pinout
Here you go, I made this now.. Great if you want to make an e.g. game console RGB cable or something!
Keep in mind that this picture is illustrating the connector plug you're making, not the plug on the monitor! If you get blended colors, then you need to buffer the current of the RGB lines. I use 3x 6.3v 100µF capacitors... The - side should go to the pins, and the + side to the wires. For me, the RGB lines measured 2.x to 3.x volt, so I'm safe with 6.3v caps. If you get heavy distortion and/or funky colors, then you presumably forgot to wire up GND/ground... Get your GND from your console/machine video output plug, and solder it to pin 1 on your own nifty plug. Last edited by 8bitbubsy; 25 February 2011 at 17:46. |
