Worms vs Lemmings
Well, I thought, since Worms is coming out on the DS and Lemmings is coming out on the PSP (which is a shame, 'cause the DS would be perfect for Lemmings, even moreso than Worms), I'd make a poll which puts two cute-on-the-outside-but-not-so-on-the-inside games up against eachother.
Which one do you prefer? |

I'll keep my GBA SP. Will never get a playstation, xbox or DS cuz I only want pure 2d retro style games.

I picked lemmings because at the time it meant a lot more to me.
It was sheer brilliance at a family level whereas worms didn't have that instant appeal and trickery. I personally wouldn't want to play either of them on a hand held. EVER. It's like trying to ride a space hopper in your shed. |

Lemmings because it was incredibly original.
Worms always seems quite dull to me. |

Lemmings all the way man!!
Increadible music! The original Lemmings was one of the 1st AMIGA games that shocked me back in the day, along side Turrican 2, R-Type 2, Myth, Project X & one of the main reasons I got into the AMIGA realm in the first place. I never really got into Lemmings 2 - The tribes however & the later incarnations, as they were not as enjoyable as the 1st. The Christmas Lemmings & New Year 1992 editions were very enjoyable too! |

If I had to pick which out of the pair I woud paly today I would go with Worms. Lemmings is by far the better game but I just couldn't be bothered with it, and using the 'shove' attack to kill a mates worm is just a great way to humiliate him.

Looking at the title of the thread, I assumed for a moment some maverick software genius had come up with the best game idea of all time
People at Team17 and Psygnosis really need to get together... |

I have to say Lemmings, as I orginally started playing it first. While I do like Worms, especially the newer 3D versions, Nothng beats the originality of Lemmings, and the fun of tying to get just enough Lemmings in to get past the level, then nuke the rest!

Worms is more fun to play with your mates, but I'll choose Lemmings as it's a much better and longer lasting game IMHO
And I agree with killergorilla as Lemmings was shit on my GameGear back in the day |

It's a shame that Sony own the rights to it all as I bet they'll keep the Lemmings remake exclusive to the PSP and there won't be a port of it to the DS. |
