VICE for Amiga

Anyone know what RAM requirements are for VICE? http://www.viceteam.org/amigaos.html

well a C64 uses 64k , 32ram+32rom then a few k for the disk drive now this is a guess
it be that plus the size of VICE

Im running an A2000 with 1MB CHIP RAM, and 2MB FAST RAM. But when trying to run VICE, it says I dont have enough memory. I looked for the system specs for VICE, but cant seem to locate it.

humm might need to increases stack size or your mem is fragmented and not a big enough contiguous mem avalable, all guesses need a more enlighted person methinks

I don't know VICE, but if your reference is to real C64 about memory:

C64 has 64 KB RAM (38911 bytes free for basic) + 20 KB ROM.

and its little brothers:

Vic-20 has 5 KB RAM (3583 bytes free for basic) + 20 KB ROM.
C16 has 16 KB RAM (12277 bytes free for basic) + 32 KB ROM.

x64 on my Mac requires about 14 MB of private memory, and about 25 MB of real memory. Requirements for the Amiga version might be a bit lower, but should be in the same ballpark.

Won't load with anything less than 6MB, which is a lot, but I can't even get it to start properly. It outputs some copyright info and says "unknown command" and quits no matter how many MB I give it.

Make sure the c64 basic & kernel roms are located in the directory..
