Cover Disk: Red Zone demo - Freezeframe?

Hi guys, I hope you're all doing well and playing Amiga games (was Dune 2 always this hard?!)

I have the cover disk demo of Red Zone from The One magazine, and I can't get it to load. There is a display while it is loading, like a red or green bar filling up, then it crashes.

I had the same happen on my 500 plus back when it was released. I remember somebody (rightly or wrongly) saying that it was a disk image made with Action Replay or Freeze Frame or something, and it only worked if your hardware configuration exactly matched the ooriginal host machine. Does that sound right?

Any tips on getting it to work?

Cheers guys.

Thanks Superman!

Ideally, I'd like to get it running on my Amiga hardware, but is there an adf of the cover disk available? I imagine the floppy is protected.

Just realized the listing on AMR is wrong

The Trivia Quiz is on Disk A: not B:
the Golf thing is on A: but buried in a folder

I tried the adz in WinUAE on my default 1200 030 profile and it ran fine. I gather WinUAE is much more tolerant of "stuff" than actual Amigas. I hope to get my A600 back from repair soon, I'll see if that runs the floppy, but I suspect not. :-)

Well I just made the Disk on my 1200 (040/25) and the Quiz played fine
But Red Zone claimed read error on block 292

So I tried my 600 and it ran --- No Problem !

Emulating my 1200 just gave a strange error
see grab below...
Or a Black Screen (after the Action Replay Loader)

I just got my 600 back from Amiga Passion (in great shape). The Red Zone cover disk loaded up no problem.
