WHDLoad Games and resolutions/screens
hi,
i want to test some of the WHDLoad games, so i installed lates WHDLoad "usr" version and got some games. I am running Amiga OS3.9 in WIn-UAE 2.5.1 at fullscreen (1920x1080) resolution. All games i´ve tested so far, running in that resolution, too. Is there a way, to change the resolution for games, for example to 800x600 and run them in a window on the workbench or on another screen? Afair, amiga os can run different applications on different screens (and resolutions) greetings, ELO |

You're right that AmigaOS can run programs on different screens with multitasking, however WHDLoad disables the OS completely (puts it aside to a safe place) as most games are non-system friendly. It can swap the OS back in for writing save games for example but while this happens, the game is stalled.
So no, I don't think it is possible on classic Amigas. However, if you run WB4+ on PPC, it could run WHDLoad in an emulated environment in a window, just like you can on your Windows machine. |
