Save States from hard-disk installed games
Last thread I saw for this was from April... I understand that using WinUAE to save your state is unreliable for HD-installed games? (Not tried it, just what I read).
Is this still an issue, and if so is it possible / likely to be addressed in future? (I don't understand the technical issues behind it). It's the main thing putting me off buying and using WHDLoad... |

It is "supported" (=should work but can break easily because I don't use it and nobody has said anything at all..) as long as you don't have any extra "expansions" enabled.
Directory harddrives should be most compatible (and safest), Picasso96 can make it unstable. |

Okay, will be sure to turn off RTG and avoid HDFs then...
When you say about avoiding extra "expansions", does that include increasing the Fast RAM, as I understand that WHDLoad games need lots of RAM to run? |

Any expansion that interfaces to "outside world". (uaescsi, bsdsocket, ..)
RAM is fully supported. |
