Problem with Bard's Tale III

Hey guys,
I can't change classes in Bard's Tale III. The manual says "Sorcerer: [...]. You must know at least three spell levels from the Magician and Conjurer classes." By now my spell casters even have 5 spell levels from both classes, but I still can't change them to sorcerers. Other sources claim that it's enough to achieve three spell levels in one class, so I rolled a new magician and got him to level 5 so he was able to cast spells from 3 spell levels. Didn't work either, still can't chance class.

Did I miss something? I just have no idea what to do. Any Bard's Tale experts around who can help me out?
As far as I remember when I played the game about 20 years ago, it was no problem at all to change classes.

Thanks for the answer, but I checked that site already.
This whole problem bothers me, so I decided to give the PC version of Bard's Tale 3 a try (which actually is quite different from the amiga version). But here it's the same: I leveled up a magician to level 5 spell level 3, changed his class to conjurer and leveld him up again to level 5 spell 3. I still can't change him to sorcerer class. This is strange. Any other ideas?

I solved the problem. You need 7 spell levels in either magician or conjurer to become a sorcerer. I have no idea why every source on the internet states this wrong.
