Azerty to qwerty?
I just bought a 500+, I never noticed in the pictures that is was a azerty model.
How is this done with the amiga? is it all hard coded into the keyboard it self? or is it just software to get it back to qwerty? |

Change the keymap in workbench to get it fixed there, I think it's in software for all of it. You just physically pull the keycaps and move them around for that part but obviously some keycaps will not have the correct symbols on them.

I did change the keys around, to make it a bit more usable until I find a correct keyboard.
The strange thing is, if I use a default workbench disk it's in azerty, the default should be US? Is the workbench detecting a french keyboard? |

The setting is saved on the Workbench disk, so if the disk has previously been used with a French keyboard and someone has saved the setting, it will have kept that setting. There's no way for the system to detect what layout keyboard is attached.
