Wow, that's great news! The first free CD burning software for the Amiga, or have I missed anything? Now, if I only had a bigger HD, I'd plug in one of my old burners

It looks quite "professional". A really good initiative as MakeCD and BurnIT doesn't seems to be supported anymore. Thanks for the link !

Would be interesting to see how well it works, I never did get any success burning CDs with my A1200, 8mb fast RAM and Teac SCSI CD writer on a Squirrel SCSI interface. I have never sussed out why either. If this works, I'll have to get some extra RAM :-)

doesn't say which drives are supported
would like to use my old Plextor 12/4/20 SCSI CDRW unit which isn't used anymore. MasterISO 2.6 supported my older Plextor 8/20 and my even older Philips CDD3600 2x SCSI burners...but never faster on my 060 A4K miggy with CybSCSI2 interface And no, I never liked MakeCD, MISO2 was sooooooo awesome for DAO audio CD layout editing, never saw such an intuitive interface on any other platform |

THIS is the sort of initiatives the Amiga needs. And it's free!
Even if I don't use a burner in my Amiga (and don't know if I ever will), I just hit that PayPal button and made a donation. |

I tested it but couldn't burn anything, "debug: work in progress"... so it's still in development but looks very promising

BurnIT is still supported and developped, the version 3 will come with support of DVD burning, but it'll be a commercial software.
You can also use Frying Pan, an another soft with support of DVD too, but it's a shareware. And, you can burn DVD with MakeCD, if your burner is supported... |

Does anyone know if this is better than ISOCD? (Particularly in terms of making custom CD³² CDs and the like )
Impressive looking app indeed - and speaking of MakeCD, if it's not supported anymore, why are some shops still charging ridiculous prices for it? |

I tried CDonFire with my Yamaha 4x burner. I simulated a burning of 65mb ISO-image, but after 10 minutes of burning i got tired of waiting. I think the burning process isn't taking full 4x advantage of my burner. But we'll wait and see. And yes i set the burning speed to MAX (4x).
