Woo whoooo
Thanks RCK, so maybe I'll start to use this now EDIT: yeppers, works great. Not sure if this will help any users out there but if you get the latest Java runtime build from Sun, that may help if JVM gives you any problems |

And do find a way to get it working under IE instead of the MS java environment. I have JDK installed but still whenever I run applets in IE it's the MS one taking over.

The webpage determins which plugin is run:
(changed angled brackets because they don't display ;) (applet) tag - MS JVM (object)(embed) tags - Sun JVM If you want the Sun (official) JVM to run your applets, just get either version: 1.3.1.01a (or above) or just: 1.4 from here: http://java.sun.com/plugin And it will display all applets using the (applet) tag. This is swichable though in the Tools/Internet Options... menu. Under advanced / Java (Sun). FYI: When you say "JDK" it sounds like a 1.1/1.2 version of Java. You need the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) the development kit is now called the (J2SDK - Java 2 Software Development Kit) Last edited by fiath; 20 May 2002 at 11:00. |

Oh yeah that's right. J2SDK. Seeing as how the school had chosen Java for starters programming language it's a good thing to have the SDK installed.

I know it's infrequent but perhaps RCK and the other mods could hold say a monthly chat session on specific topics and try to keep it on topic for that particular session, just a thought May I suggest that these be announced on the top of the EAB page as to the date and time, GMT (+/-) of course May I also suggest the first topic: Amiga One and Amiga OS 4 - Fact or Fiction, You Decide |

Most of the time the channel is full of sleepers Maybe it would be good practice to run MIRC when you run EAB - providing you are in an environment (e.g. not work) where you can do it of course. It's a lot easier than frantic PM exchanges that you have sometimes. |

please note that I'm trying one new irc server each day, until I choose the better one, so consider this as experimental, and shutdown will be present during the first days
