Reading disk content in HxC

In HxC, there is an option to view the content of a disk image, and even add/remove files etc!

Is there a particular file extension the disk image must be taken in before this option works? It doesn't work for .ADF .SCP or .IPF. I've not tried any others yet.

Not sure about adding/deleting files but you can usually view/extract files from an ADF/IPF/SCP that has a valid file structure by using the 'Disk Browser'

Thanks for your reply. See this is what i'd hoped, and expected. However, whenever i try to load an image to look at the content in .SCP, I get the attached result. In fact, i've never had anything but this result for many disks attempted to be explored, using .SCP, .ADF, .IMG etc.

That could be the disk is a mix of ADOS / MFM tracks, I see the same issue on some disks I know have an ADOS file system but also have MFM tracks, not sure what the issue is with HxC as those disks are readable in WinUAE and show the files!

You can only file browse AmigaDOS based images. Pinball Fantasies isn't AmigaDOS.

Ah right. That would make sense then. I'll have to try it again using a .ADF image of a .ADF disk then.

It depends on the original image - you can't just convert a copy protected non-AmigaDOS image in to ADF.
