Xmas 91 (Age 22). I bought an A500 and when I got it home it was the 500+. I did not want the compatability issues I had with my STE so i took it back and got them to open the boxes until I they found a standard A500.

I still have the A500 set up with an ACA500plus plugged into the side.

We got an A500 when I was 15 at a computer show in London. It was £315. The first games we had were Shadow Of the Beast, Populous, both bought at the show too. I had already bought Hostages and Three Stooges (they were very cheap!) by mail order

Back in the day whenever you looked at the screenshots on the adverts - the Amiga was always the best one - so that's what you aspired to have one day.

2 years later I managed to buy a Jap SNES and we were in gaming heaven (my bro bought the Amiga). All the Amiga magazines kept going on about this game and that being a Mario beater - we didn't care when we already had Mario etc. Greatest combination of computer/console ever!

My uncle gave me his Amiga when he moved to PC when I was 15 I guess. I was so into c64 doing some code and swapping with little success on c64 scene. Unfortunate I have never dive into Amiga scene. That was A1200. Shame I have sold her after some cool years. Now I regret selling any of my equipment to all those savages

I think I was about 17 or 18. I was an apprentice as a seller, and when we got the new machine I was totally hooked.

I bought the A1000 from my christmas bonus and what I got from selling my 128D.

The 128 would have been fine, if it came earlier. As it were, when I got my 128D I never really did much with it, beyond going to C64 mode. I was hoping for a bit more. The Amiga was quite different though. It was really fascinating to learn the new assembler and all stuff.
