Wolfchild config?
I tried playing this game in both emulators...
WinFellow completely crashes with sort of a 'fatal error' when loading the game. WinUAE 0.8.17 'scrolls' through the levels: When level 1 starts, the screen gets black again and suddenly you're in level 2, then gets black again etc. up to level 5 where it hangs and a Guru Meditation comes up. I used a normal ECS config in both emulators. Does this game work on your setup, dear community?

Hi s4murai,
this is one of my famous standard configs.  I've uploaded the CRYSTAL crack for you. This works like a charm on 0.8.17 R2. But I too got to say thank you for bringing up this topic! WinUAE 0.8.21 needs a different config! If you use WinUAE 0.8.21, you MUST check the "Immediate blits" box in the Chipset settings. Otherwise you will make WinUAE crash. Wolfchild also plays OK on Winfellow with the following settings:
-68000 CPU @ 7 Mhz -1024 chip ram -1.3 Kickstart -ECS Blitter The first disk contains the animated start-up. The game won't recognize df1 and will ask you for a disk swap once the intro is finished. I played through much of the first level with no problems using the crystal cracked version. Hope this helps... |
