A1200 Mobo Timing Issues

Can someone tell me if a Rev 1a board has the timing issues that plague the 2b and 1d4 boards?

Does it work okay with an 040/ppc board and bvision?

1a has no problems with 040/060 CPUs. It's only the 2b and 1d.4 that have the bus timing fault.

I have a 1d4, works fine with my 060 bppc, with a mtec1230, with a 1260/50 and with the RBM zorroII busboard, g-rex, piccoloSD64, picassoII, fastata1200... all my own hardware

Got 2 1d.4s, a 1b and a 2b. The 2b won't boot with either an Apollo 1260 or Blizzard 1260 fitted. One of the 1d.4s runs with the accelerators in but crashes every ten minutes. The other boards (bugfixed 1d.4 and 2b) exhibit no problems.

However, it seems to be down to luck at the end of the day. In short, the 2b and 1d.4 are the only motherboards likely to have problems with fast accelerators.

Try running a BPPC 040 on a rev 1D1 motherboard. I couldn't get a stable system (would crash and lock up after random time, fastest lockup was after 10 seconds) before I did the timing fixes. After I have done the timing fixes it has run 100 % stable.

Yep, that's the case with a 1d4 mobo. Read more here:

Then there should be no particular reason to do it, just be happy with your system
