How to convert files into add files?

I want to convert a .mod into a adf file.

MOD is a music format, ADF is a disk image format. Not sure what you are trying to do, but that's not going to work. You can't convert between the two formats.

You haven't included some fairly vital information, for example, is the .mod on a real Amiga or on a PC with WinUAE? Do you want to copy from Amiga to PC, or from PC to Amiga? Amiga to Amiga?

If on Amiga, do you have a GoTek and that is the reason you want an adf disk image?

I shall give you two methods, one for PC with UAE, one for Amiga without GoTek

Method 1, PC with UAE:

Open UAE.
Go to diskette tab
At the bottom there should ve a button "create adf", click this, name it "wahtever,adf"
Start UAE
When loaded, click F12
Go to diskette tab again, insert "whatever.adf" in slot 1
Close controls, the diskette should pop up on Workbench
Singleclick diskette, the Right-click and select "Format disk" from the 3rd menu (or Initialize from 2nd menu if you're on WB 1.3)

Once formatting is done, you can drag'n'drop your .mod into the diskettes' window.
Push F12 and eject the adf from unit 0
You now have your .mod on the Whatever.adf

For AMIGA:

Here is a little more tricky, but should be easy enough.

Boot Amiga
Then format a blank disk
Copy .mod to the blank disk.
Use one of a variety of tools to read the diskette into an adf.
