Making whd by an ipf image

I have looked through the forum. Im not so sure, please correct me if I am wrong.

It is currently not possible to mount an ipf image on a real Amiga in order to create a whdload or a real 1:1 copied disc.

It is possible to mount an ipf file in WinUae to create a whdload.

Are there possible problems using WinUae to create whdload by an ipf, because of Emulation isues? I have read on the Cpas Page the emulation isn't correct enough.

I want to use the whd's on a real Amiga.

As long as you mount the ipf in winuae as a floppy disk then yes you can (install it with whdload). Most of my whdload games are installed using caps images because it's the simplest (and only) way of creating hd installed games from 100% original disks.

If you are after individual whd games, why not just download them instead of having to install them?

For individual installed games check:

Or for packs of whdload games try the AWESOME:

Your site is truly awesome, but not very useful for all of the users with a 56k connection.

There shouldn't be. When that was written, WinUAE was quite a different emulator. All games so far preserved at least load up fine on it, but pretty obviously we don't play them all the way through (well some we do, but not all).

We should update that page really.

thanks for the hints.

I don't want to store the whdloads. I want the ipf files. With this unique source, I can make a real 1:1 game disc sometime or whdload. Whdload is really good but playing the game under original conditions without cracks and with swapping the disc is the best for me.

Sorry, are you talking to me?
I don't understand what you mean by saying that it could be sent out by you.
