Question Name the most overrated Amiga game before its release

Well, the last post on a different thread gave me the idea of this thread.

Which is the most overrated Amiga game before its release?

Advertisement, PRs, magazine reviews present this game as the milestone in the game industry but after it is released it turns to be a crap!

Gmes that are based on a movie are a complete disaster (Robocop...)

Rise of the Robots was one of these games... Name a few!

Microcosm for the CD32

Was there a Microcosm for the CDTV? I am sure it was demo'd on that platform

The Killing Gameshow

Incredible intro but the game itself... hmm.. it was not what everyone had expected.

I remember here in Greece, there was a TV programm that presented the most recent releases and the only thing that was presented was the intro (4 times!)

Many bought this game due to the intro!

Last Action Hero?

I never played this game but it seems to be a movie parody!

Yes, I agree!
On the contrary Superfrog was superb as a Sonic clone.

Superfrog is crap. I don't know if it was overrated before it was released, but it certainly is now.

Targhan is a good contender for most overrated before release. I've got a magazine advertisement from 1989 that says "Targhan is probably the most stunning game you'll ever play."

If Targhan is the most stunning game I'll ever play, I'd better kill myself right now.

I understand how frustrating it might be when people don't use proper grammer but....

This is an English speaking forum and as long as the poster gets his message across I don't see a problem.

A lot of users speak and write some english - enough to be understood but it isn't grammatically correct so chill out

Most Ocean games. Too much advertising and mediocre games at the end.

Kk, should have added a () in there . I was just saying it... nothing wrong with pointing out something that will help other members.

But knew you were gonna comment on my comment ^^

Bippym, I was not offended by Ironclaw's remark. On the contrary, it helps me a lot to have a second opinion, because it makes me understand my faults and helps me correct them.

Maybe I'm not a scholar of the English literature but I want to express and write correctly in every language I use! And sometimes spelling errors like the one I've made before, makes me really mad with myself!!
It's not only the meaning of the message that you want to put through, which is of course essential, but you have to better yourself in every way!
It's not degrading as long as the remark is made with a good intention!
My English are a bit rusty and this forum helps me get the hang of it again!

Thanks for your support though mate! Thank you both for a different reason!

Thanks . Well, most people I guess don't want to hear their spelling misstakes. I for one wouldn't mind if someone told me my spelling errors, because I would be a better speller then. I love to learn . Like many others, I too make spelling errors from time to time.

So, instead of correcting all errors in all posts which is ridiculous , I, just "for once", pointed out the most misspelled word I've seen by people... the its/it's.

Edit your first post and change the title, but in some forums you can only change the title in the thread, not the one displayed in the forum... if you know what I mean.

Ok, see you tried it and you only changed the one in the post, like I thought... so, you can't change it then. No big deal , people understand ^^.
