The graphics look excellent... dare say you're far outdoing the original arcade machine.

This looks really amazing! Just one suggestion: there should perhaps be more hit and dying samples to vary the sound FX a bit. Or perhaps just replay the same samples but at different sampling rates for different pitches.

Wow - love the outdoor scene.
Completely fixes the "claustrophobic" feel from the original. I am really in love with such crisp looking pixel art. |

i hope you find a music artist to add some good music, the arcade sounds now feel absolutely terrible compared to how good the game looks |

On the music... things are pretty tight on chip ram, but we'll see what we can do. |

You are creating something incredibly unique!
PS: Would there be a way to "dirty" the posters on the wall a little? The cleanliness of those images clashes a bit with the urban staging ... |

The only one I wasn't able to tell is the 3rd unit from the end. I'll have to think it about it.

@mcgeezer, the game look awesome!!! This is my favourite game and actually I have the record marp in Spartan X (japan version of KungFu Master).
The new graphics looks very nice but in the final version of your game it will be possible to choose the original graphics? Thanks very much for the game and very great job! |

Small update here showing a few of the variations of heads on the Grippers.
[ Show youtube player ] For those interested in the technical stuff, I'm showing the DMA use... the game can have 5 enemies just on an OCS with 0.5 slow ram, with 1mb chip ram it can do 6 because I a) don't have to worry about double buffering and copying the player sprite as it's allready in chip ram and b) I have the tiles in chip ram too - so no need to cpu copy the first tile.
