That's enough?
The only others things I would suggest to make the ultimate disk version, is the following in-game keys:

... Level skip
... Yellow candy power-up
... Pink candy power-up
... Blue candy power-up
... Shoes

Then the perfect port has the perfect trainer

Today I was able to try the two-player game with the help of a friend of mine. On a real Amiga 500 (+ 512k), Commodore crt monitor, and two KTRL CD32 + joypads.

The game is very fun, even more so with a friend, but unfortunately it suffers from many slowdowns due to the greater presence of objects on the screen. Another thing we noticed throughout the game, until the end of the game (100 level) is that no special bonuses, bottles, diskettes, or anything else appeared. The only special items that appeared during the levels were candy of various colors, some shoes, and the letters EXTEND. Unfortunately nothing else.

Appearance of items is not random (like in some other ports) but depends on how you play. Some things that improve item appearance: Create many bubbles
  • Fall through the ground
  • Collect EXTEND letters you already have multiple times
  • Pop many enemies at once
  • Walk around
I hope this helps

Maybe an option to change the game difficult:

Easy
Medium (Arcade)
Hard

i don't know if it will be feasible.

With ross improvement loading time has gone from something like 102 seconds, to ~34 seconds (great!). Without the trainer lmb wait i think another little improvement.

But... is there any change placing the file differently - optimizing it - where the files are on the disk?

e.g. iirc the first track accessed when loading the floppy is 40? (so probabily the startup sequence should go there and the file maybe @41? )

Final fixes
  • Fire & Lightning kept moving when HURRY UP was shown
  • In potion screen the 10.000 score is not correctly positioned
  • BPLCON3 default was not written (AGA display fix)

Thanks to everyone!

Happy playing.
I shall test this tomorrow and report back

Would it be possible to deactivate „up“ after first press of 2nd firebutton? That way there would be no accidental jump on a joypad.

@ross/Pink^Abyss

Using ross's patched version I managed to find a bug in level 10 in a two player game we'd cleared all the botniks and the level wouldn't finish with constant hurry up! loops etc. No obvious enemies trapped anyway. Reloaded the game and played up to level 10 again and it was fine!

Thanks for the 2-player version though ross ;-)

Yes, but I don't know if it's the best way.
Perhaps some prefer to have both active...
The best would be an option.

Send a message via ICQ to Predseda
I confirm Escape now works as it should, no more Software Failures on my Ami.

Agreed, to have an option is always best.

Maybe you could speak with Alpha and:

with /

We could get the ***ultimate*** Tiny Bobble disk version that has;

... ross's 2nd fire button hack.
... Alpha One's cool trainer options.

This evening my mini-Godzillas have tested Tiny Bubble and they told me they much prefer this "Tiny" version than the version they usually play on the classic NES-mini !
It was even hard to make them stop playing

I also gave it a good try and... it rocks !

KUDOS to all the team for the hard work and the achieved result !!!!

This would be the best of all possible tweaks.
