I'm rather surprised this game hasn't got more attention, as not long ago we've learnt that Protovision will be publishing a rather awesome looking C64 game called ' Wormhole ', that is in development by TRS. This game which puts you in control of a saviour, that must rescue a professor and stop a wormhole experiment that has gone horribly wrong with an invasion of hostile aliens, will feature more than just your average side scrolling jump 'n shooter experience.

I never owned an c64. So i dont know much about it. But i am looking into getting one now.

They sure are developing great games. Just looking on youtube for the last couple of days. there are at least 10 games of highest commercial quality. These games look better than many of the best on the amiga when it comes to production quality. They certainly look better than what was produced in c64 prime.

They take alot from the old european styles and sensibilities, mixed with more modern game mechanics.

We haven't featured this work in progress C64 game lately, but you'll be pleased to know the modern indie game ' Limbo ' as a C64 game, has been teased again but this time with the deadly spider showing itself at the side of a tree. What was originally a proof of concept by the creator Søren Trautner Madsen and backing of Playdead, looks to be going the full hog into a long term project, with the dark backgrounds and horror overtone kept intact.

Last year we mentioned Rod & Emu's C64 port of the ZX Spectrum classic ' Pentagram ', which originally was released by 'Ulimate Play the Game' in 1986 as the fourth game in the Sabreman series, following on from his adventures in Sabre Wulf, Underwurlde and Knight Lore and was played in an isometric viewpoint. Well after a number of write ups especially by Hayesmaker in 2016, the game has now received a v1.30 update with a number of enhancements such as the incredible STE loading pic above.

News for the C64 just gets better and better as after already exciting us with the news of Sam's Journey accepting pre-orders, we've just learnt that Argus *Ultimate Edition* by Achim Volkers, Saul Cross, Trevor Storey and Jason 'Kenz' Mackenzie, is coming August 26th 2017 and can be pre-ordered today. This incredible looking game via Psytronik Software, is an RPG Adventure game set in a Dungeon Crawler style.

Sam's Journey is going to be epic! Think i will have to give in and buy it!

It's the full package, awesome graphics, beautiful sid tunes, silky smooth scrolling and movement that the C64 is renowned for, and looks to have great gameplay!

This will be the ultimate 8bit computer game and really shows of the C64 at it's best, making most other 8bit computer games look weak in comparison!

It will be interesting to see how sales for Sam's Journey go on the C64. 20EU is quite a steep leap from what digital downloads on the platform were offered for in the past.

i'm in no way trying to say "it's too much", these guys have been working on this game forever, but personally, I don't buy digital downloads at that price range on any platform. That's just me.
I guess what is putting me off is the disk version. I understand 50EU for the cartridge, but 40 for the floppy seems weird.

Once again we are turning our attention away from games and towards our music lovers, as an incredible music collection has been released by MultiStyle Labs for the C64 called ' Modern Love Classics, which does contain heavy stroboscope visuals. This release which came 4th at Nordlicht 2017, features 7 mind blowing tracks such as Jammer - Left Right, LMan - Clubster, Randall - Night Falls Over Amygdala and even Jammer - Jogging Naked. As one person puts it "The most amazing music disk I've seen and heard in a while".

No, it isn't just you. 20€ is too much for a digital download I also believe. I also think that if it was cheaper they would sell more to obtain the same benefits.

€20 seems a bit high yes, but the price will probably go down after a little while. Some people want to be the early birds, and they will have to pay a bit extra for that priviledge.

When you look at it, it is actually a lot less than what games usually cost in the 80s/90s before the discount-versions were released and if this is truly a top-quality game then it seems fair to me.
