Can't install Cubic IDE on 3.2

Something about some of the custom helper programs run during installation causes AmigaOS 3.2 to lock up and require the three-finger salute.

So far I've been able to pinpoint one particular lock-up, with a helper program called remassigns, following a Lock() operation. It is not the only one, but it causes the lock-up when trying to redo the broken installation. Removing AssignWedge does not change anything. It appears that the process for remassigns goes into a wait state, and from there everything just falls apart.

UPDATE: By removing all assigns manually and deleting the install, and restarting from that point, the initial lock-up of everything is in the Cubic IDE tool ccselect which is used to configure assigns and environment variables for an installed compiler that Cubic IDE recognizes.

I'm about to install that on my 3.2 setup.

I haven't, no.

Give it a shot and report back if it works for you, though. If it does, it means something is wrong with my setup, rather than 3.2 or Cubic IDE installer specifically.

I've installed it on two different PCs under emulation and both installed without any problems.

I'm running 3.2 with Classic WB

I've got emulation set up as 4000 with 040

Are you trying under emulation or real hardware?

Emulation, but as 1200+040.
