Original screen height of 224 pixel (was only 200 pixel)
Does this mean you changed from the original, which could be played in both NTSC/PAL (and a bit faster in NTSC), to be PAL-only? I realize PAL is 320x256, but I also seem to recall a previous tiny game (Galaga?) that was PAL-only. Just curious, thanks

This probably meanspink^abyss uses the original graphics. The original screen resolution of the Arcade game is 256 x 224. Or at least that he tries to mimic the image more correctly.

I didn't think I would see the day when someone would mansplain to the legend that is Pink, how to create a sound engine on Amiga....

Great job on all the tiny games, Pink! Looking forward to this one and more.

Dude's a legend this way on, as well as Bartman for the Abyss Artcore 40k Demo. That piece was my eldest kid's favourite demo of all time back when he was a baby and it got him off to sleep every single time.

Haha... this story is good... our intros are so boring they get kids too sleep.

Nice. I loved playing this on my C64. I don't remember ever playing it on my Amiga so now is a good time to give it a go

God no, he was absolutely entranced by it!

I was given a disk of 40k demos, and naturally Artcore was first alphabetically. I ran it, and he turned his head immediately at the first orchestral hit and then gawped at it for the rest of the demo. When he refused to sleep, I'd pop it on and loop it round and round over and over for hours until he calmed down and slept.

It's been a favourite of ours ever since, must be 25 years ago now? Along with the rest of the contents of that disk, I shall never ever forget it. And I never thought I'd ever get to chat to one of the guys who wrote it

@pink^abyss

Excellent job, and thank you for your excellent remake, it runs very smoothly on my 020 A600! Pretracker sounds very nice.

I've noticed a few things with 0.92 that could be corrected:
-If you eat many candy-powerup for throwing the bubbles far away it looks like the powerup is added or something like that because the bubbles reach the other extreme of the screen. I played the arcade when I was a kid and I don't remember that it was possible (although I may remember wrong)
-When the level is finished on Tiny Bubble the dragon dissapears, the screen scrolls and then appears again from the top inside the bubble but in the arcade the dragon doesn't dissapear, the sprite used inside the bubble is shown without bubble and when the sprite reaches the new level screen the tiny bubble starts to grow.

It looks like it takes too much time since a bubble explodes and the thing that is inside comes out, e.g. water stream, thunders... but perhaps they are ok, it's been a long time since I played.

It would be nice if pressing "P" paused the game like in the "original" atari port.

Anyway don't take my comments too seriously and thanks for your brilliant shiny game. I'll give 0.93 a go when I can. Thank you!

Puzzle Bobble would be a great tiny game too but I guess you already have your own favourites :-D

PS: Tiny Bubble is now in my favourite Amiga Games list :-)

Amazing port! Good job. Nice to see more colors. Have you thought about making an AGA version? Have you seen the port for the Atari Falcon called Double Bobble 2000? It's amazing!

@pink^abyss

This remake is fantastic!

It would be awesome if you could add some trainer options also... for example, a button to add additional lives.

Gave this a quick bash and I have to say that this has the potential to be even better than the arcade (although it's not there yet)! It looks and sounds great and plays very smoothly.

I respect that pink doesn't want to invest the time to do a full arcade conversion. But maybe he could accept some donations towards that end, as a symbolic compensation and expression of gratitude for the fantastic job he's doing in, not only tiny Bobble, but his entire tiny series?

That's nice, but please buy instead the game on PS4 or similar.
Playing Tiny Bobble (and especially beta-testing) is really enough gratitude

I have no interest in these PS4234687 gizmos, I prefer to support Amiga developers.

Looking forward to trying out the newest version!
