Alien Breed 2 AGA

Hi,

I would known if someone succeeded to transfert the disk 2 of alien breed 2 AGA to a real amiga 1200 (disk 1 is a boot disk).

It's strange but i can't transfert this disk correctly !!! I insert the disk 2 when it is requested but then... the loading fails :-(

So if you have a tested disk 2, well, it would be nice to post it in the zone.

I did not try all levels but the cracked version is working on winuae when the game requests game disk 1... I need help please !

That's it, i found a working version of the AGA version of this wondefull game .
It was here located in the EAB file server, since the beginning and i didn't see the files !

Easily transferable (no whdload, no wwarp), no need to make a boot disk (it can be launched from hard drive in WinUAE with a standard A1200 configuration)... Wow i am going to transfert these 4 disks on floppies and at last enjoy !!!

God just transfered the 4th disks and it works... Just can't believe it !!!
The AGA version is so nice ! Sounds, graphics are well improved...

Does someone know if this CD32 version is even better than the classic AGA one ?
Differences or not ?

And at last, does someone has all the codes for the levels ? There are only 2 codes on HOL...

Just to jump in, I have the 4 disk AGA floppy version (Fairlight) and it works fine on my real A1200, disk 2 loads to the title screen and lets me play the game!

Probably same version as posted above!

Thanks BarryB, i think im the only one here who can't load the Fairlight version on my A1200 (same problem with Alien Breed 1 on my A500, but it works on my A1200)... Don't know why but my problem is solved because i installed the CD32 version on my hard drive and it works perfectly now !

Hello there, i have lately tried to find why the fairlight crack on AB2 AGA had the end fucked up.

I have found where the problem is : The cracker has made a wrong file rearrange.
He has let a lot of empty space on the bootdisk (disk 0), when a file or two could have place inside it instead of disk 1. As a result, the very latest file of disk 1, which has a size of $9E60 on the original, is only $5800 in length at the end of the FLT disk 1 (it results in an oversized ADF lol)

This is why we have a corrupted ending. If i add the missing part of the file datas, i corrupt the game ADF.

But, when i think about it, i have maybe a way to do it hehehe.

EDIT : after a try, i'm sorry, but it's impossible make the game use the repair.

The fairlight crack needs to be re-handled with a file rearrange.

I've uploaded a newly cracked copy of Alien Breed II (AGA) to the zone.

I've tested each level and the end sequence in WinUAE but its not tested at all on real hardware. Feel free to report back if you have a real A1200 to test on.

Good news Phantasm, as the AGA version is an exception for me lol ! Indeed i could never manage to write it back to disk ! Your new crack will maybe solve the problem, if it will i will certainly build you a pillar he he !!!
