Cannot install Amiga Forever.

Hi.

I had Amiga Forever on a drive that died (Dead as a dodo, wont spin), Not trying to reinstall Amiga Forever again, and the MSI installer starts, and when it tries to install, it still detects the old installation, probably via the registry, but no matter if I Do a Complete or Modify through the installer, it gets to "Updating components", then 'Removing shortcuts' before failing the install.

I have tried to remove as much references to AF in the registry but its pissing me off.

The final dialog box is saying it had problems removing files from an existing install (Yeah no shit bat man, that drive is dead) Please uninstall or repair the previous version..

I AM TRYING TO !.

Geezus anything short of reinstalling windows...............

You could also try CCleaner. I find it easy to use

Tried CCleaner. all that did was to launch the app's uninstaller, which was freaking.

@Zipper is the ripper.., that worked. Now why Microsoft cannot make that more visible

It's invaluable when you have tried all tricks to get rid of a broken software and Windows still claims it's there.
