Hello! (plus question about posting)
Hi everyone,
Short introduction, I didn't have an Amiga growing up (my older brother went... the 'other' route due to his music stuff), but due to some awesome friends I was playing Amiga games regularly and developed a real love for the machine. I had a particular love of some of the more strategic simulation games by Mike Singleton, David Braben, ImageWorks and Digital Image Design etc. Fave games probably: Midwinter, Shadow of the Beast (1 - 3), The Killing Cloud, Populous II, PowerMonger and GODS. I always wanted an A1200 (it was going to be a toss up between the A1200, the Falcon 030 or the Acorn A3010 at the time!). My Dad went down the PC route, but turns out that worked out not bad in the long run. I recently acquired an A1200 which I've been having recapped and in the process of upgrading at the moment. I haven't seen a longplay of PowerMonger by Bullfrog on Youtube before, so I'm tempted to record that at some point (having played it through several times). I did hit an issue with WinUAE not writing partitions to the drive, mentioned here, but I found the solution (a recent change to WinUAE) that fixed it.
