This probably doesn't help as it relates to the Windows version but...

On this forum / thread there is information about .ENG text files on the CD version.

Maybe the text from this Windows version could be used to fix the final parts of the Amiga version

It's not meant as a HD Installed version (you can make that yourself with the floppy images)

Just add the HDF to a default A1200 config and away you go.
As for a real A1200, I never tried it, too much hassle for me.

The corrupted text is nothing to do with me, the translation files come that way.

Well for some reason my HDF keeps crashing with the power light flashing ???

Anyway I solved it by saving the S:Startup-sequence as SYS:Start
(or you can use the spiel starten and alter the assigns to point to SYS:)

copy the WB3.1 floppy contents to the HDF.

alter the Startup-sequence by commenting out the endcli line.

Add a line to the Startup-sequence 'execute Start'

Alternately you can leave the Startup-sequence alone and let it boot to WB. all you need then is add an .info file for the Start file.
(or use the spiel starten as mentioned above)

does that make any sense :spin

The HDF seems to be missing a library. I'll go through them and see which one it is, probably one of the maths libraies.

OMG...I'm losing the will to live

Works O.K for me in AF & WinUAE loading the WV1 characters and loading Old Game.

I can't be arsed creating new characters to test this though.

Has the WW2 English translation been finished ? Could it be re- uploaded ? I would prefer adf version ( does it exist) , but I guess hdf file would do..

By the way, I' m actually playing WV 1 on my A500 ( from floppies, yes!) and having some serious problems. I think it has to do something with savedisk. How about re-uploading original adfs of WV1, too !?

What issues exactly?

Personally, I use the .IPF files for this game (which of course I can't upload on EAB)...

I can upload the "Save Disk" though? but don't think there's anything special about it to be honest.

Am I right that playing WV1 on A500 requires different Save disk than on AGA machines..? If so, you could upload blank Save disk for A500 playing..

Ok. I'm going to play around with different save disks and versions and trying to get WV1 fully working on my A500, even if may be sound a bit masocistic, as I am playing from floppies

Speaking of manuals, did German version of WV2 have any manual ? If it didn't, maybe PC version did ?! It would be interesting to see how much better it was.. (?)
I quick tested the adfs of WV2 DamienD uploaded
with WinUAE and the game seemed to work.
